Use of Simscape to simulate solid material flowing from a container to another container

On simscape Multibody, I would like to simulate solid material (i.e. solid fertilizer) flowing from a container to another container, initially by gravity. Any ideas how can I do this? I could not find a way to model this material. Initially I tough about modeling hundreds of spheres with spatial block contacts, but not sure if this is possible or maybe another approach.

OK, maybe I found some solution. It is not finished yet, but work in progress.
I created a live script where I can select the number of sphere that will be dropped (among another parameters). It work wit some flaws, like it required much computational resources in order to get the interaction between the spheres.

Lots of sphere may work, but I can imagine it being painful to set up and slow to run :(
The physics you are trying to simulate sounds like "Discrete Element Modeling" (DEM) to me. Example: a bunch of rocks, big and small, in the bucket of a excavator. MathWorks doesn't have a toolbox to simulate this. But I've seen Multibody being used with 3rd party DEM software:
I know this doesn't solve your problem. But maybe this is worth looking into.
