Basic Lane Change Example

Hello everyone, I am new to automated driving toolbox and my advisor gave me a work to do, I need to create a scenario, in the scenario, there are a car and a barrier, so basically car will start to move and when it detects the barrier from a spesific distance, the car needs to change its lane. I was looking for some examples to do this, but they are so high level and complicated, so is there anyone who can help me? Which steps are there to create a lane change model? What functions do I need to write or use? More basic example suggestions maybe. Below in the files you will see the things I have done. Thanks in advance.
