This error usually comes up when trying to sign out of MATLAB Desktop without properly closing all running MATLAB sessions. The trick is to follow a specific order:
- First, click on “Sign Out” from the user menu in the top-right corner. This will trigger the “Sign Out” pop-up message.
- While that pop-up is still open, close the MATLAB session (yes, the one that triggered the sign out).
- After MATLAB is closed, go back to the pop-up and click the “Sign Out” button.
This sequence ensures MATLAB fully logs out the account.
