From the error you encountered it seems like the reference signal isn’t in the right format for the Nonlinear MPC block, it should be an array where the number of columns matches the number of output variables the controller is tracking (12 columns). Adding a Transpose block between the Step block and the ref input of the Nonlinear MPC block can match the required input format.
