IWR1843BOOST: How to keep zero- or near-zero-Doppler points in the “Detected Points” TLV over UART?

17 次查看(过去 30 天)
I’m using an IWR1843BOOST with UART-only output, targeting up to 50 m range.
I need the Detected Points TLV to include zero-Doppler (0-Doppler) values.
  1. Which SDK or Radar Toolbox demo is best for getting TLV data that still contains these zero-Doppler points?
  2. What key .cfg commands or settings ensure 0-Doppler points appear in the TLV?

Hi VLV,
I understand that you want to ensure stationary targets (zero-Doppler points) are included in the Detected Points TLV output from your IWR1843BOOST (UART).
MATLAB workflow recommendation:
  • Use the Radar Toolbox in MATLAB, which provides support for TI IWR1843 devices
  • Explore the demos under: Radar Toolbox > Hardware Support > Texas Instruments > IWR1843
Ensuring Zero-Doppler Points Are Included
  • To make sure stationary (zero-Doppler) objects are present in the TLV output, disable static clutter removal in your radar configuration file.
This ensures MATLAB will receive all detected points, including those with zero Doppler, when reading from the sensor.
For information please refer to this documentation - https://www.mathworks.com/help/overview/radar.html
Hope this helps!
