How do i create a plot for an implicit function in selected quadrants only?
显示 更早的评论
I have to plot Y^2 – x^4=0 in the 3rd and 1st quadrant only, as a trace.
+ Need to create an M-File
Struggling with plotting the function as a symbolic so i can use "assume" and specify which co-ordinates i need to plot in a "if" type statement.
Thinking i need
if x<0 && y<0 plot(f)
etc
Any help would be appreciated.

x1=0:0.1:10
y1=x1.^2
x2=fliplr(-x1)
y2=-x2.^2
plot(x1,y1,x2,y2)
