boolean output for a file diff using visdiff command

I'm using the visdiff command for comparing two .mat files. I would like to have a boolaean output like: 'true' - when both the files are identical, 'false' - when files don't match. Is it possible to have such an output using visdiff. If not possible is there any other way i can compare two .mat files and get a boolean output.
