YTickLabel positioning - labels between ticks

Hello, is there a way to position the yticklabels 90 degrees rotated between the yticks without changing the grid lines (see attached figure, labels should be 90 degrees rotated on the red line)?

Use text instead of tick labels for this...
hAx=axes;
set(hAx,'ylim',[0 3],'ytick',[0:3],'yticklabel',[])
text(-0.025*ones(3,1),[0.5:1:3].', ...
num2str([1:3].','Test %d'),'horizontalalign','right')
