Entity generator built-in exponential distribution or exponential quantile function?

I'm trying to simulate an M/M/1 queue. Simulink's example (sedemo_mm1) is using an exponential quantile function (manually written) for the intergeneration of entities. The question is, Time-Based Entity Generator block already has a built-in exponential distribution option so why is the example using a formula instead?
