Boxplot greek symbol bug?

I can't seem to use greek symbols on the boxplot axis?
This works fine:
plot(rand(10,1))
ylabel('\muL')
This doesn't work:
boxplot(rand(10,1))
ylabel('\muL')

Try
ylabel('\muL', 'Interpreter','tex')

That does not work for me in 2015a, but does work in 2015b. I presume they fixed a bug.
