error code in Dspace

I am working on creating a Control Desk experiment that I can use with the dSpace board 1104. I have a 2 part question. When I was first creating this I was having trouble figuring out how to insert a grid on my graph. This would be really useful because I want to adjust my setup by hand to output a specific value. Can you tell me how to do this? Secondly, while I was doing this I was called away from the computer and so I saved my work and logged out of my account. Everything was working the way I wanted it to when I left (except for the grid thing) but when I tried to run it after I got back I got the following error message when I tried to open my layout:

The file can not be loaded, because one or more Variable Description Files that are referenced by the connections are missing:

c:\users\McFly\documents\matlab\cold_fusion.sdf

Load the above Variable Description File(s) or select alternative files while loading.

What does this mean and how can I fix it.
