if i chnage 2 random DCT coefficient of a block of a image then inverse DCT after changing in dct will same or different before any changing in DCT coefficent and then inverse DCT?

if i have an 8*8 image and apply DCT on it and then simply inverse dct of it while in another case if i change some dct coefficient and then inverse dct of it. is in both the cases inverse dct of non changing coefficient will be same or all coefficient in inverse dct will be affected?
