how to draw vector function?

I want to plot a vector function in 3d, with one variable.

x = 2*sin(t)
y = 4*cos(t)
z = t

is my vector function. How can i make it on an easy way?

t = linspace(-10*pi, 10*pi);   %define the range you are plotting over
x = 2*sin(t);
y = 4*cos(t);
z = t;
plot3(x, y, z);
axis equal
