cannot overwrite an existing file
显示 更早的评论
If I create any new file, let's call it "test". Save it and then open it. It is fine, and works. Then when I try to save it, I get the message "test.m already exists. Do you want to replace it?" I choose "yes".
Then the message appears, with a big red X saying "test.m is already open in the MATLAB editor. To overwrite the file, close the original first"
This also happens to any existing file that I choose to open. None can be saved after opening.
How can I wipe out this error without uninstalling and re-installing my MATLAB software?

Which MATLAB version are you using, and which platform?

I don't think hitting control z after clicking the save icon would foul things up. It probably gets saved way before you can even get your fingers on the control and z keys. But anyway I don't think anyone will be giving you any more help because it sounds like you figured out that it was just some weird flukey thing that probably won't happen again, especially since you think you know what caused it and thus how to avoid it. If it's reproducible via a normal sequence of operations, then let us know, otherwise I consider it a non-issue anymore.
