Simulink and GUI Interaction

Hi everyone, here is the case, i have a simulink model, lets say a PID controller that corrects the water level on a tank. What i want to know is if there is way to extract data from this model and then import it into a simple gui i have created. Also if possible control the simulink model (e.g. amplifiers) through the gui.

You can export your simulink data to base workspace using 'To WorkSpace' blocks OR by using signal logging feature. Read this data in your GUI.
