Matlab residue command not working ,,,,, ?

Ok , so basically I am new at this command & when I tried to run a few examples I found from matlab examples site , I encountered a problem ; none of the values I was looking for appeared : Here is the code :
b = [-4 8];
a = [1 6 8];
[r,p,k] = residue(b,a)
Here the expected result :
r =
-12
8
p =
-4
-2
k =
[]
But when I run , i just get k= [] . Anything I can do to have my expected answer ??

Increase the size of your command window, or scroll up?
Alternatively:
format compact
before typing your code
