What type of errors are you getting? What version of Linux? What version of MATLAB?
i am using ubuntu 11.04 and my MATLAB is r2008b
actually this is the software i used in windows.. can i install the same in linux or in need to hav seperate installation file

You need a separate installation file, unless you want to install to operate under Vine (not an approach I would recommend.)
can u please tel me how to get that installation software for linux

Dear follow this tutorial. It would really help you.
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/MATLAB
even if you fail, then I advise you to use Windows flavor of Matlab. You can install that on Ubuntu using wine. But I must inform you before hand that It would be quite slow, but for you might be easy to install. Try your best to finish it on Linux by the Ubuntu forms. You can ask the question of the problems you faced.

Thanks for ur advise.
but the link u sent says we can install it only on ubuntu 10.04 or 10.10...but i am using ubuntu 11.04..
can i hav ny alternative for this...
