Is it possible to generate a System Design Description programmatically?

We have a build server that we are using to generate and build code from our Simulink models. We were hoping to generate System Design Descriptions with each build. Is there a way to invoke the Simulink Report Generator programatically so that our build server can output System Design Description reports for us?

One possible solution I found is:
- click on “Customize” in the System Design Description GUI
- customize the report and changed Directory, Filename, Title with the weird (template language?) syntax %<MyString>
- save the report as a .rpt file
- call report(‘MyReport.rpt’)

Looks like the built-in function
gensdd()
might do it? The documentation says that this outputs a "system design report" though. Not sure what the difference is, haven't used it yet.
