uicalendar in standalone application

I wrote a matlab gui with uicalendar function. when I make a standalone application with uicalendar, it throws an error stating unrecognized char uicalendar. I did a search in matlab central and figured out that uicalendar is not supported in matlab compiling. I am just wondering whether there is any other alternatives to use uicalendar in standalone application.
