PDE toolbox heat transfer in inhomogeneous medium ..inner medium interface conditions.

hello, I am solving heat transfer in a two medium,i.e., a rectangle and inside this rectangle there is circle with different conductivity. There is not heat generation or anything fancy. I set the four boundaries of rectangle with dirichlet and neumann conditions matlab does not ask me anything about the interface between my two domain. I wonder what matlab does in there. is it T_rect = T_cir and k_rect del(T_rect) = k_circ del(T_circ)

Yes. This comes out automatically with the finite element method which the PDE toolbox uses.
