how can i call a model from simulink to matlab?

I create a model in simulink & i need to call it in matlab to calculate the bit error rate.

I don't understand what bit error rate means. But to simulate a Simulink model from Matlab, you usually use the
sim()
command. See
doc sim
in Matlab for more information.

bit error rate means the error in the received signal ,, in communication ,, we calculate the signal to noise ratio against bit error rate ,, so i need to load the model in matlab & calculate bit error rate , is there another way ??!
