I wnat to import numerous sheets of excel file.

If there is 5 sheets of excel file,
I want to see like this in workspace of MATLAB used for function.

data_1 = data of 1 sheet in excel
data_2 = data of 2 sheet in excel
data_3 = data of 3 sheet in excel
data_4 = data of 4 sheet in excel
data_5 = data of 5 sheet in excel
is it corret code? What is wrong?
for i=1:5 data_i = xlsread ('Merged',i) end

for sheet = 1:5 data = xlsread(filename,sheet) end

data_1 = xlsread ('Merged.xlsx', 1);
data_2 = xlsread ('Merged.xlsx', 2);
data_3 = xlsread ('Merged.xlsx', 3);
data_4 = xlsread ('Merged.xlsx', 4);
data_5 = xlsread ('Merged.xlsx', 5);
