DAQ cards for I2C

I'm trying to find the best NI card for doing some data analysis using the i2c port. I have seen that with the Hardware Support Package I can use any USB 854x card but I also saw that the Data Acquisition Toolbox allows me to use more variety of cards. Is there any difference as to which one I should use?
