I/O error using tekVisa in MATLAB

I am running MATLAB R2015b and have tekVisa v4.1 installed. MATLAB recognizes tekVisa and I have all other drivers installed. When I run my program, however, I get this error message:
VISA: Error - An unknown I/O error occurred during transfer. If this error is not an instrument error, use MIDEDIT to inspect the driver.
Browsing the internet for this error hasn't helped me at all. Any help would be very appreciated.
