I want to send a constant double value 2.567 through spi trasmit block of tms320f28027, but i'm unable to do so

Respected Sir,

             I have to send 2.567 constant double value through spi transmit block of tms320f28027, as it can transmit 16 bit value, I tried multiply the constant with 1000, so now the value is converted to 2567 and the simulink is builded but when the program is loaded tms320f28027 launch pad i'm unable to see the spi transmited data and clock at respective pins, inturn I tried to check by passing only the constant 2567 to the SPI transmit block then i'm able to see the transmitted data and clock.
