How to create a panel in Simulink Model

I have a simulink model, I want to create a panel in the .mdl file so that it will show the statistics of all the blocks present(like how many sources and sinks etc.) in that particular .mdl file !
Is it possible in the .mdl or should I make GUI and link that .m file with .mdl file showing the info of all the blocks present in model ?
