"Copy Figure" option in figure created in Matlab executable?

I've created an executable with Matlab Compiler. The program brings up a user interface that allows for the adjustment of various parameters. The user can then hit the "run" button I've created, the program performs a calculation, and then generates plots. However, the ability to copy the figure (which is available in figures created within Matlab under the edit menu) is now missing. Is there a way to have this feature present in the figures created with the compiled program? With the option to copy as either a metafile or a bitmap?
