Modelling CIC Decimator

What's the difference in usage of dsp.CICDecimator and mfilt.cicdecim ?? I need to model a CIC Decimator for a Digital Down-Converter (DDC)... Which one should I use ??

Hi Adeel, dsp.CICDecimator is a System object. That is more appropriate for streaming data and code generation if that is your ultimate goal. mfilt.cicdecim is a "older" MATLAB UDD object. I see you have a fixed point tag on your post. In that case I would recommend you use the System object.
The System object implements the algorithm used in the CIC Decimation block (Simulink side of DSP System Toolbox).
Did you know that there is a dsp.DigitalDownConverter object already in the DSP System Toolbox?
