Mdl to slx Coversion

Dear All, It is absurd that the community has paid very low attention for converting mdl to slx format. Simly, how can I open mdl fild in Matlab r2013.

If the mdl file was created with any release up to and including your release, then just go ahead and open the file. Running the Upgrade Advisor afterwards is recommended. See also http://www.mathworks.com/help/simulink/ug/saving-a-model.html#btj4zg2-1 . Simulink did not stop being able to open mdl files when it added slx files in R2012a.
If the mdl file was created with a release after your release, there is the potential for difficulty, but you would expect more difficulty with opening a new slx, as I suspect they stopped developing the mdl file format when they introduced slx.
