contour Subscripted assignment dimension mismatch

Hi,
Im trying to add isobars to a plot but i get this error. Subscripted assignment dimension mismatch. I haven't used contour before, but according to the documentation X+Y are equal to Z so i came up with this:
frequency = [7.5 15 30 60 120 240];
nfrequencies = numel(frequency)
duration = 0.5:0.5:8.5;
% for itr see attached file
[X,Y] = meshgrid(1:1:nfrequencies,duration');
contour(X,Y,itr,frequency,'ShowText','on');

it should look something like this but this is with fake data. Don't mind the coloured lines:
the itr.mat file contains the data i wanna use for this

That is a line plot, not a contour plot.
I do not have any difficulty plotting with the data you supply. Not a lot shows up, just a single region, but it works.
Please show the complete error message you encounter, everything in red. Also please show the output of
which -all contour

thx for the help, but i its is already fixed. The figure i posted as an example is actually correct.
