How do i create a 1D array that has 100 rows, 100 columns and 3 layers?

i am a biginner in MATLAB. i want to know how can i create a 1D array with three elements:100 rows,100 columns and 3 layers?

It will be 3D matrix not an array... You can make the above said dimensions matrix using:
rows = 100 ;
columns = 100 ;
layers = 3 ;
data = rand(rows,columns,layers) ;
An array would be simply a row matrix/vector or a column matrix/ vector.
