HELP! Analysing input signal

I have to prepare a simple application that can analyze an input signal and to deduce numerical values (frequency, amplitude, duration ...) and can also modify some of these parameters. I have to use MatlabGUI and MatlabCode. I need your help to get some links and M-codes, please. I'm so greteful for all those who gonna help me.
