I want to use region growing image segmentation technique to segment an image. How can I find and apply region growing image segmentation technique.

Here's one possible way. I wrote the attached script to emulate what Adobe Photoshop's Magic Wand tool does.
Also there are region growing submissions in the File Exchange so check that out.
