How to have a single value for feature matrix ?

I have extracted feature from a image using SURF. i don't know how to check the result,the extracted features are in matrix of 64 column.How to make matrix to single value i.e adding matrix values

What do you mean by extracting features using SURF? surf is a function for plotting in Matlab so I don't know what kind of feature extraction you are doing.

Assuming that you already computed a feature which is a row vector of size 64,,
% sumfeature
rowvector = rand(1,64); % assuming a 64 size row vector...replace by your feature
finalFeature = sum(rowvector(:));
sprintf('%s %d','finalFeature = ' , finalFeature)
