Ability to inherit parameter size with RTW S-function target?

How can I allow parameter dimensions to be inherited in an RTW-generated S-function? I know this can be done with an S-function created by hand, but when using RTW with an S-function target it seems that any parameter dimensions are hard-coded to the dimension of the parameter when the S-function is generated.
This capability would be especially useful for data tables. I don't want to constrain the dimension of the data map to be a certain size.

I suspect that this might be a product limitation - perhaps you could file an enhancement request through MathWorks Tech Support? The only workaround I can think of is to manually modify the generated S-function.
