Why the 48 pulse GTO-Based STATCOM doesn't work effectively on my model?

This is my observed bus voltage in per unit before installing STATCOM.

However, bus voltage after installing STATCOM only increase reactive power level since there is still the same ripple. How can I eliminate the ripple on voltage? The setting in STATCOM is the same as follows: https://www.mathworks.com/help/physmod/sps/powersys/ug/gto-based-statcom.html

Thank you very much!

This is an effort to clean up Matlab Answers. Unfortunately, this response is likely to late to be of help to this question:
For this type of question, a model would need to be shared to better understand why a certain approach might not be working.
