Detecting suit of playing cards?

Hi,
I have a set of playing cards on the table as they would be in a poker game. I have separated the cards and also extracted the suit portion of the playing cards.(shown in image). Now i am trying to identify the suit(Clubs,Spade,Heart or Diamond) from these kind of images. They are not oriented in the right angle and scaling is also different. I tried using SIFT, SURF and Template matching. None of these worked for me. Can anyone help me with this?
