Command window gone and restoring editor window does not work

Hi.
I am using Matlab R2016a. My computer went to sleep while matlab was open and afterwards the command window (and all other windows as well) was gone. Now, I cannot restore any windows. I have tried the 'layout'-option in the 'home'-tab and I tried restoring the windows, which doesn't work either.
Can anyone help me?

I found the solution:
Home-->Environment-->Preferences-->General-->Java Heap Memeory.
I cranked up the available memory up to full and restarted the program. This should, however, not be higher than 1/4th of your available RAM.
