How do i use these function in the program?

Hello community! While researching for my project, i found a program per coincidence, which i believe is exactly what i need. This is why i want to try this code, but i dont understand, how to use it right. The code is written by a author, who provided it to the matlab community. If could help me, i would appreciate it. Here are the links.
Both of these code are written by the same author. My problem is, i dont understand how to use the "function stft". I am aware how both of them work.
