For example (in JSP):
<% if(request.getMethod().equalsIgonreCase("post")){%>
Your name is: <%=request.getParameter("name");%>
<%}%>
<form action="" name="form1" method="post"
<input type="text" value="" name="name" />
<input type="submit" value="Submit Query" />

I am not sure what you mean by JSP. JavaServer Pages? Java stored procedure? Jackson structured programming? Joseph Smith Papers?
May I suggest that instead of posting the briefest possible question, and then trickling out a bit of detail as we go, maybe you could edit your question to be somewhat more complete, so that if someone answers it, it is really what you want to know.
