how to know the webcam field of view angle from matlab?plus, can we change the field of view of the webcam (e.g reduce the angle)?

Any such setting would be device dependent.
Using https://www.mathworks.com/help/supportpkg/usbwebcams/ug/set-properties-for-webcam-acquisition.html you might be possibly see a directly relevant setting; if not then you might be able to use Iris and Zoom; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angle_of_view#Measuring_a_camera.27s_field_of_view
