Help with Salt and pepper noise algorithm (MDBUTMF)

Hi i am trying to implement Modified Decision Based Unsymmetric Trimmed Median Filter using matlab. I have attached the algorithm as image and also the code that i am working with. But the output isn't very satisfying. It was supposed to work well even at 90% noise. But my code messes up its edge right after 60%. Can anyone help me guess where am i going wrong?

So if 90% of the image is missing, you think that you can reclaim a decent looking image from the remaining 10%???

Well in their research paper they showed example with 80% and 90% noisy image. Here's the image from their original paper. Could you please check if my coding is working exactly as the algorithm says or otherwise?
