problem with drawing arrows using annotation

I am trying to connect 3 points in a MATLAB plot with arrows. Then, I used "annotation" to draw arrows on the graph in a plot but I don't know why there is a gap between arrows head and arrows body (shaft). For example in the following image, the vertical arrow is supposed to start from the end of the horizontal arrow as it is assigned by the coordinate of that point.
