Plotting coastlines

I need to draw the world coastlines over some plots, but I only have Matlab R2010a Student Version, and I haven't got the mapping toolbox. Is there any way to retrieve the coast file? I tried the M_Map package, but the coastlines don't overlap well with my plots.
