Make 3D Playback Animation More Efficient

I have interpolated data (test.mat) on a helical line to a cylindrical surface. My Cylinder.m script renders the surface over time, however the code runs slowly. Could someone provide ideas on how I can create a faster animation without compromising the resolution of the interpolation? The final animation can be in any format.
