How to write the values at an axes in a usual plot in Matlab R2014a in Latex style?

I want all objects in my plot in Latex style. The legend and the x and ylabels are already in latex style. But the values (red in the picture) are still in another font.
I start the code with
set(0,'DefaultTextInterpreter','latex')
set(groot,'DefaultLegendInterpreter','latex')
But that seems not enough. When I try
set(gca,'TickLabelInterpreter','latex','FontSize',fontsize);
I get an error:
>>Error using set
Invalid property found.
Object Name: axes
Property Name: 'TickLabelInterpreter'<<.
Anyone there who can help me with this?

Works with R2014b; I suspect that was the release in which the additional property was introduced; I wasn't aware of it until this posting.
