How i can extract feature point using "extractFeatures" function?

Hello there, I am trying to use the computer vision toolbox, to detect some object surface. this is a snapshot of my code, i used the code that shared on the documentation of the toolbox. but i have an error with extractFeatures function. when i searched throw the description i find that it works with binary images; is that right? -------------

Question: is your boxImage grayscale or color (RGB) ?
