disable command window opening when executing external programs

Hi!
I am trying to run an external program using "! program.exe inputfile.txt -I" command in none-interactive mode. When the program is executed, the dos command window is opened. It displays some info about the program.exe and is closed.
Is there any option to disable opening of the DOS command window from MATLAB? The displaying of the command window slows the whole execution and is very agnoimg.

Try using
system('program.exe inputfile.txt 1 > NUL 2 > NUL')
or
system('program.exe inputfile.txt -I &')
Also note that with system you can get return codes and exit status.
