Lost on basic csvread, fwrite, load functions?

I have a homework problem that we did not get examples for, and am looking for some code that will help me accomplish the attached prompt. So far I have the first part (I think):
Array=csvread(filename); col1=Array(:,1); col2=Array(:,2); plot(col1,col2) end
