Mach3 forward facing step

Can someone point me to an algorithm for a mach3 flow past a forward-facing step? I see this example everywhere online, but I cannot find an example code, and I am unclear as to the application of a WENO or Zha-Bilgen Flux Splitting code to achieve the desired results. I currently have a code that models the problem, but I don't understand why I am unable to resolve the bow shock at the step. I realize that, after the bow shock, I can apply reflective boundary conditions to show the shock reflections, but without the bow shock I have no idea where to start debugging my code.
